Masterworks Masterclass

Instructor: Mr. John Gardner

Join The Oaks Conservatory as we attend the Spokane Symphony! Enjoy a catered dinner while conductor, arranger, and brass instructor John Gardner demystifies symphonic music. His 60-minute presentation will include program notes for that evening’s performance, along with historical and biographical details about the composers, works, and musical styles. This concert preview will prime your ears to be fully captivated as you engage with performances of the following historic masterworks:

  • JANUARY 20: Brahms’ 3rd Symphony, Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto (ft. Charlie Albright, piano)
  • MAY 11: Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony, Mozart’s Exultate, Jubilate (ft. Dawn Wolski, soprano)

Pick your favorite, or sign up for both. Get a sitter or bring the whole family! Join us for this time of fellowship as we cultivate a love for great music together.
